Argentina rolls out discount promotions in La Plata market and Neuquén

The Mercado Bonaerense Fijo La Plata released a price list with discounts valid through 6 August, featuring a 40 % rebate when paying with Cuenta DNI (capped at $6,000 per person) and a 10 % senior discount on Tuesdays. The list details reduced prices for bread, dairy, meats, pasta, legumes and frozen items, with specific examples such as loaf bread at $2.20 per kilo and chicken thighs at $12 000 per three kilos.

Banco Provincia del Neuquén announced a special “Super Días” promotion for Children’s Day (16 August). From 2 to 9 August, more than 300 participating merchants will offer up to 12 interest‑free installments and a 10 % rebate without a cap for purchases made with the bank’s credit cards. Visa and MasterCard cards issued by the bank also allow up to six interest‑free installments. The programme covers toy stores, clothing, leather goods, footwear, bicycles, electronics, computers, phones, books and sports equipment, aiming to boost local consumption and support provincial commerce.
