Argentina rolls out mobile health train in Chaco and subsidized gas program in Corrientes
The federal and Chaco provincial governments continued the "Tren 25 de Mayo" mobile service in General Pinedo, offering on‑site medical care, vaccinations, dental, ophthalmology and administrative assistance such as civil registry and social welfare registrations. More than 4,000 residents were attended during the first week, and officials highlighted the impact, with Minister Diego Gutiérrez noting, "Ver el Tren 25 de Mayo me trae muchos recuerdos familiares vinculados al ferrocarril y al servicio a la comunidad." The train will travel to several Chaco towns through July 2026.
Meanwhile, the Corrientes provincial government announced the schedule for its "Garrafa Social" subsidized gas bottle distribution, targeting peripheral neighborhoods of the capital. Fixed sales points will operate on June 17 in Barrio Itatí and on June 18 in Barrio Alta Gracia, each for a one‑hour window, alongside the delivery of "Kits Igualitarios" containing essential care supplies.
