Argentina Ruta 7 crash kills three including 12‑year‑old
A multi‑vehicle collision on Ruta Nacional 7 at km 121 between San Andrés de Giles and Carmen de Areco left three occupants of a Chevrolet Corsa dead – a 43‑year‑old man, a 19‑year‑old and a 12‑year‑old boy, all from Rafael Castillo in La Matanza. The crash also involved a Renault Sandero and a Fiat Strada. Early investigations suggest the Sandero driver may have fallen asleep, hitting the Corsa from behind, causing it to cross the median and collide head‑on with the Strada. A woman traveling in the Corsa survived with serious injuries, and other passengers in the three vehicles were treated for various wounds. Police, forensic teams, firefighters and medical services worked the scene, closing the road for several hours while vehicles were removed and evidence collected. The case remains under judicial investigation.
