Argentina secures wage hikes for Gualcamayo miners and Mendoza judicial staff

The mining union ASIJEMIN reached a collective bargaining agreement with the Gualcamayo operation, granting workers a cumulative 16.86% salary increase. The raise will be applied in three stages: 6% from 1 June, 5% from 1 August and a further 5% from 1 October.

In the province of Mendoza, the judicial employees’ union accepted a government proposal that provides an 11% wage increase in two installments—7% in August and 4% in November—plus extra payments totalling 330,000 Argentine pesos. The deal follows earlier agreements with teachers and road‑maintenance workers in the same round of provincial wage negotiations.
