Argentina dollar demand reaches USD 2,853 million in August
In August 2026, Argentine individuals purchased USD 2,853 million in the official market, according to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA). This figure represents the second-highest monthly volume of the year, following a peak in July. Approximately 1.7 million people participated as buyers, while 734,000 people sold approximately USD 390 million, resulting in a net purchase balance of USD 2,463 million in banknotes.
For the first eight months of 2026, cumulative gross purchases reached USD 20,898 million.
