Argentina sees rise in remote workers earning in dollars
Remote international employment is increasing in Argentina, with a growing number of professionals working for companies in the United States, Spain, and other global markets. According to the Deel Global Hiring Report 2026, which analyzed over one million contracts across 150 countries, Argentina has emerged as a primary provider of talent in Latin America for foreign firms.
The number of Argentines hired from abroad rose by 25% during 2025, with approximately 90% of these workers receiving their income in U.S. dollars. While the technology sector—including software development, data analysis, and artificial intelligence—remains a major driver, the trend extends to fields such as human resources, education, health, accounting, design, and marketing.
This shift provides a significant source of foreign currency for the country without requiring traditional physical infrastructure like ports or customs. The primary incentive for workers is the significant wage gap between international markets and the local Argentine labor market.
