Carmen de Areco bus crash injures dozens on Route 7

A long‑distance bus operated by Vía TAC fell from a bridge on National Route 7 near Carmen de Areco, Buenos Argentina, during a severe windstorm. The vehicle, carrying roughly 20 passengers traveling toward Buenos Aires, lost stability while crossing the bridge over the Arroyo La Guardia and tumbled several metres to the ground. Emergency services rescued all occupants; there were no fatalities but 19 people were reported injured, including a baby who received medical care.

Witnesses and rescued passengers said strong gusts caused the driver to lose control, and one account mentioned the driver attempting to jump from the bus while it was still moving.
