Argentina seniors host community events in Villa Ocampo and Rosario
In Villa Ocampo, the municipal government organized a successful edition of the JUPE senior‑citizen meeting at Club ARNO. The event brought together local elder‑care institutions, including the Club de Abuelos, provincial retirees’ groups, and the San José Nursing Home, as well as delegations from Las Toscas and Lanteri. Activities featured adapted sports, games, a folklore cantina, and speeches by officials such as Social Policies Secretary Viviana Foresi and Mayor Cristian Marega, emphasizing inclusion and recreation for older adults.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Retirees and Pensioners Center of Rosario is marking the 50th anniversary of its Oliveros camping site. President Fernando Enciso highlighted the centre’s expanded health services, mobile vaccination campaigns with the Santa Fe Health Ministry, and new dental and medical specialties. The celebration on 28 June will include a communal lunch, live music by “Angie y La Sonora,” and performances from the centre’s folklore and tango workshops, underscoring the long‑standing role of the site as a hub for senior social life.
