Argentina signs IDB cooperation pact, unveils defense industry catalog

The executive president of PromArgentina, Diego Sucalesca, and Viviana Alva‑Hart, the Inter‑American Development Bank’s representative in Argentina, signed a non‑reimbursable technical cooperation agreement. The pact aims to strengthen PromArgentina’s capacity to attract and facilitate productive foreign investment through new technological tools, innovative solutions, international promotion materials and analysis of global best practices.

Separately, the Argentine Ministry of Defense presented a Catalog of Companies for the Defense Industry, listing 110 domestic firms. The catalog, part of the System Integral of Capability Survey and Industrial Articulation for Defense (Sircai), is intended to consolidate a Base Industrial and Technological of Defense (BITD), promote innovation, digital transformation (via tools such as Kit Digital 4.0 and Exporta Simple), and expand export opportunities for Argentine defense products.
