Argentina stages new theatrical productions in Buenos Aires and Neuquén

Playwright Sabatino “Cacho” Palma is presenting his three‑part monologue trilogy, “La vocación de la memoria,” in Rosario and Buenos Aires this summer. The series revisits his recent works—including “Desde cachorro,” “El camino de la fuente,” and “22 de agosto”—exploring identity, exile and historical memory, and will be accompanied by the essay collection Teatro para no morir.

A separate production of Federico García Lorca’s classic “La casa de Bernarda Alba” is being mounted by a fully Neuquén‑based cast. Director Leandro Stepanchuk and actors Carola Reyes, Cristina Mancilla and others have prepared an elaborate visual staging for its August 1 premiere, with plans for a regional tour across Patagonia.
