Argentina stages two new theatre productions on July 2

Miguel Ángel Solá and Mercedes Funes will headline the comedy‑drama "Por el placer de volver a verla" at Teatro Mayo in San Francisco, Argentina, on Thursday 2 July at 21:00. The production, directed by theatre manager Mauro Reinero, follows a man’s reunion with his mother after many years and is part of a national tour that began in April.

In Corrientes, the Teatro Oficial Juan de Vera will present "Despertares, una Tragedia Adolescente" on Thursday 2 July at 20:30. Directed by Loly González Fiorini and Nico Méndez Ayala, the rock‑opera adaptation of Frank Wedekind’s Spring Awakening is aimed at audiences aged 13 and up and tackles themes such as identity, sexuality, abuse and suicide.

Both events are marketed to local families and teenagers, with tickets available through the theatres’ box offices and online platforms.
