Argentina steps up digital reforms for corporate and property registries

Argentina's Inspección General de Justicia (IGJ) issued General Resolution No. 3/2026, amending the 2024 resolution to simplify and accelerate corporate registration procedures. The new rules, effective 14 May 2026, allow electronic acceptance of director appointments, flexible registration of director changes, remote board meetings, and set clear deadlines for reviewing delayed filings, aiming to reduce formal burdens and compliance costs while preserving legal certainty.

In the province of Mendoza, the Second Judicial Circuit in San Rafael has completed a digital transformation of its property registry. The jurisdiction now operates a fully electronic rogatory system, enabling digital filing of notarized, judicial, and administrative documents with electronic signatures. Historical records have been digitized, and new registrations are created natively in digital form, eliminating paper handling and improving efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.

Both initiatives reflect Argentina's broader push toward digital government services, targeting faster, more reliable public registries for businesses and real‑estate transactions.
