Argentina: Survey shows 70% of women reject Milei

A survey conducted by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) reveals a significant gender gap regarding support for President Javier Milei. According to the data, nearly 70% of women reject the current administration, with 68% calling for a change in government. In contrast, 53% of men support the continuation of the libertarian government.

The survey also highlights divergent views on the economic situation. While 61% of women perceive the economy negatively, only 21% hold a positive view. Among men, 47% view the economic situation as negative, while 35% view it positively.

Government officials have expressed concern over Milei’s public confrontations with women, including singers and journalists. These attacks have led to internal discussions within the administration regarding the potential political impact of this rejection, particularly the fear that dissatisfaction among women could influence broader family dynamics and affect future reelection efforts.
