The Argentine government, through the National Disability Secretariat under the Ministry of Health, has officially suspended 21,812 non-contributory disability pensions (PNC). This decision, formalized via Resolutions 3695/2026 and 3697/2026, revokes the provisional reinstatement of benefits that had previously been restored following judicial injunctions.

Audits conducted by the state identified significant inconsistencies, including a lack of reliable clinical documentation to support disability claims and socioeconomic discrepancies. Data cross-referencing revealed several beneficiaries holding assets incompatible with the subsistence regime, such as multiple vehicles, real estate, and rural land.

Affected individuals have 60 calendar days from notification to request the rehabilitation of their benefits. To do so, they must present updated medical documentation, renew personal data, or provide additional evidence to prove eligibility. Applications can be processed through PAMI management units, which have replaced ANSES offices as the primary contact points for these requests.
