Argentina's tennis federation is preparing to host a Davis Cup World Group I tie against Turkey at the Ruca Che arena in Neuquén on 19–20 September. The event marks the first time the competition will be held in the south of the country, a step described by former player Agustín Calleri, president of the Asociación Argentina de Tenis, as “federalizing” the sport.
Javier Frana will serve as team captain for the first time on home soil. Organisers have chosen an indoor hard‑court surface to match the players' upcoming schedule, after adapting the venue’s floor to a faster surface. Calleri highlighted the strategic choice, noting that the Argentine squad will transition smoothly from the US Open to the Davis Cup and then back to the European and Asian tours.
