Argentina to publish unprecedented record of peace justice history
The Federal Board of Courts and Superior Tribunals of Justice (JUFEJUS), the Federal Board of Peace Justice (JUFEPAZ), and the Judiciary of Tucumán are collaborating to publish an unprecedented historical and regulatory record of peace justice in Argentina.
Originating from the VII National and V International Conferences on Peace and Misdemeanor Justice held in Tucumán in September 2024, the project aims to strengthen the visibility of peace courts by documenting their evolution, practices, and landmark cases. Following a call for contributions launched in August 2025, the work will compile doctrinal articles, jurisprudential rulings, historical reviews, and practical analyses.
The publication will be available in both print and digital formats to allow for continuous legislative updates. It is structured into two main sections: a general history of peace justice in the country, and a provincial section featuring a dedicated chapter for each province. These chapters will include geolocated jurisdictional maps, current regulatory frameworks, and local scholarly contributions.
