Argentina tourism surges for October long weekend

Argentina is seeing a significant surge in domestic travel interest for the upcoming long weekend from October 10 to 12, 2026. Córdoba has emerged as the most sought-after destination, with searches increasing by approximately 87% over the last four weeks. Notably, Villa General Belgrano has seen a 379.6% spike in inquiries, driven by the local Oktoberfest celebrations.

Other popular destinations include Mar del Plata, which saw a 40.9% increase in searches compared to the same period in 2025. Flight inquiries for the holiday period have risen by nearly 60%. Travel packages for these locations are reported to start at over $570,000 per person, depending on services and transport.

In Paraná, tourism options for the weekend focus on the historic center and Parque Urquiza. Visitors can explore sites related to the city's history as the capital of the Argentine Confederation, including the Cathedral Nuestra Señora del Rosario and the site of the former presidential residence.
