Argentina: Uninhabited house faces imminent collapse near Regional Hospital
A residential structure located on a cliffside facing Hipólito Yrigoyen Avenue in Argentina is at imminent risk of collapse. The building, situated near the Regional Hospital, faces severe structural instability due to ground erosion, which authorities state was accelerated by recent rainfall.
Although the house has been uninhabited for some time, municipal officials have intervened to manage the danger. Miguel Gómez, Secretary of Urban and Operational Control, stated that while no recent material falls have been recorded, the risk to residents living downhill remains high. The municipality is proceeding with urgent notifications to neighbors in the potential path of falling masonry to prevent a tragedy.
