Argentina university scandals: UNaF financial probe and UNMdP discrimination case

Judicial proceedings in Argentina have intensified over alleged mismanagement of public funds at the Universidad Nacional de Formosa (UNaF). Prosecutors have received new testimonies and documentary evidence implicating university rector Augusto Parmetler and secretary of Management and Development Norma Ramírez in possible administrative or criminal responsibility for the handling of university resources.

Separately, law professor Gabriela Exilart has renewed a public complaint of discrimination at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMdP). Exilart claims she was denied a teaching dedication and suffered a salary cut after winning a 2014 faculty promotion contest, alleging that the academic council approved the position for another colleague. She has circulated a video detailing the emotional toll of the dispute, which remains unresolved after more than a decade of appeals.
