Argentina vermouth exports reach record value through premiumization
Argentine vermouth exports reached a historic milestone in 2025, exceeding 20 million dollars and 7.7 million liters. The industry is currently undergoing a shift toward premiumization, particularly in the Mendoza region, where the focus is moving from high volume to higher-value products.
Data from 2026 indicates this trend is continuing. While the volume of exported liters decreased by 13.44% compared to the same period in 2025, the total export value rose by 13.17%. This shift resulted in an increased average export price of 3.86 dollars per liter.
Geographically, the market remains highly concentrated, with five countries accounting for approximately 90% of total exports. Russia emerged as the primary buyer in 2025, representing 53% of the total export value with 10.64 million dollars in purchases.
