Argentina volleyball coach calls for urgent planning after Olympic qualification setback

Following Argentina's defeat to Brazil in the South American Men's Volleyball Championship, head coach Horacio Dileo has called for urgent strategic planning from the national federation.

The loss resulted in Argentina missing a direct qualification spot for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. While the team remains in contention for a spot through the 2027 World Cup or via Nations League standings in 2028, Dileo emphasized that the path forward will be difficult without a clear roadmap.

Dileo stated that the federation must define a clear direction for the national team to navigate the remainder of the Olympic cycle, noting that decisive actions regarding the sport's future in the country cannot be delayed.
