Argentina wins silver in women's Team Sprint at South American Games

The Argentine women's cycling team, composed of Natalia Vera, Guadalupe Díaz, and Valentina Méndez, secured a silver medal in the Team Sprint event at the South American Games in Rafaela. The team finished in second place, trailing only the Colombian national team.

Natalia Vera, a 27-year-old cyclist from Beltrán, noted the significance of the achievement despite not taking gold. She emphasized the team's dedication, stating, “For many people, a silver medal seems like little, but for us, as athletes, it is a lot.”

The competition took place at the “El Invencible” Velodrome in Rafaela, a venue where Vera had previously conducted extensive training sessions. The result marks a continued presence for Vera on international podiums during her third South American Games appearance.
