Argentina women's basketball team eliminated from Olympic Pre-Qualifiers

The Argentina women's national basketball team has been eliminated from the Olympic Pre-Qualifiers after finishing with a record of one win and two losses. Their campaign ended following a 58-53 defeat against Brazil, a match where Brazil's Bella Nascimento scored 23 points and the team dominated the offensive boards.

Despite the exit, Argentina has secured qualification for the 2027 AmeriCup in El Salvador. To maintain their path toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, the team must finish among the top four teams at the AmeriCup. Success there would grant them entry into the February 2028 Olympic Pre-Olympic Tournaments, the final stage of international qualification.
