Argentina women's hockey team wins third world title

The Argentina women's national field hockey team, known as ‘Las Leonas’, has secured its third world title after defeating the Netherlands. This victory marks a historic milestone for the team, placing them among the world's hockey powers.

Victoria Miranda, a 26-year-old player from Río Cuarto, was recognized as one of the 52 champions in the team's history. Miranda contributed significantly to the undefeated campaign under coach Fernando Ferrara, appearing as a starter in one match and as a substitute in six others. Her performance has earned praise from figures such as former coach Sergio Vigil and veteran player Magdalena Aicega.
