Argentina women's roller hockey team begins World Cup training in Entre Ríos
The Argentine women's national roller hockey team, known as Las Águilas, has begun a training camp in Entre Ríos to prepare for the upcoming World Cup in Paraguay. This marks a historic event for the province, as it is the first time the national team has held a pre-World Cup concentration outside of San Juan.
The team debuted their training in Paraná with a friendly match against a youth men's combined team from Entre Ríos at Club Neuquén. Following the match, players engaged with local fans and youth athletes. Coach Darío Giuliano stated that the team's objective is to reach and win the final, noting that many players spend much of their careers in Europe and return to Argentina for short periods.
Team captain Luciana Agudo and player Valentina Fernández emphasized the high expectations for the squad, expressing their commitment to bringing the World Cup trophy back to Argentina. The training schedule includes open sessions and technical talks to allow the public to engage with the national champions.
