Argentina women's volleyball team hosts Chile and Venezuela in San Juan tournament
From July 16 to 18, the Aldo Cantoni stadium in San Juan, Argentina hosted a women’s volleyball triangular tournament featuring the Argentine national side, Las Panteras, alongside Chile and Venezuela. The opening ceremony was attended by local sports officials, including the province’s secretary of sport and the director of the San Juan Volleyball Federation, who highlighted the event’s role in preparing the teams for upcoming South American competitions and the forthcoming Nations League.
The second day drew a large family‑friendly crowd, with hundreds of spectators filling the stands to watch Chile face Venezuela. Organisers praised the strong local support and the quality of the venue, noting that the tournament provides valuable high‑level match experience for all three national squads. The competition will conclude with Argentina’s final match against Venezuela, expected to attract another strong audience and serve as a showcase of the country’s growing volleyball infrastructure.
