Argentina's Aapresid and MECA 2026 agro expos set dates in Rosario and Villa María

The Aapresid 2026 Congress, held in conjunction with Expoagro, will take place in Rosario, Santa Fe from August 4 to 6. Organisers confirmed participation from the full Argentine agro‑industrial chain, including seed companies such as Corteva, Pioneer/Brevant and NK; crop‑protect and nutrition firms like Bayer, BASF, Yara and OCP; a growing line‑up of biological‑control providers; machinery and AgTech firms such as John Deere, Valtra and Precision Planting; and major exporters and processors including Bunge, LDC, Bimbo, Cargill and Nestlé. The event will also host an AgTech Forum and a Demo Day for startups.

Separately, the MECA 26 mega‑expo will be staged in Villa María from September 3 to 6. The programme features simultaneous technical sessions on human‑resources management, high‑performance dairy schemes and precision agriculture, as well as competitive events such as a provincial barbecue tournament, a 1‑ton cheese‑making contest and a Pizza Master challenge. Highlights include a drone and irrigation showcase, a Holando Argentino cattle breed ceremony, bio‑energy Olympiads for schools and a three‑million‑peso prize pool for projects on livestock waste treatment. Both events aim to strengthen links between producers, agribusinesses and the wider community.
