Argentina's Unified Adoption Registry expands outreach and opens sibling adoption appeal
The Registro Único de Adopciones (RUA), part of the San Juan provincial justice system, held institutional meetings in the departments of Iglesia and Jáchal under Agreement No. 39/2024. The sessions, co‑hosted by the local Juzgados de Paz Letrados, explained that people living outside the Gran San Juan area can now file adoption requests directly with the peace courts of each department. Participants included judges Victoria Aguilera and Martín Peñafort, magistrate Domingo Daniel Castro, officials Paula Páez and Cintia Aballay, as well as police chiefs Mario Salinas, Angélica Cortez and Sergio Domínguez, among other community leaders.
Separately, the RUA issued a public call for families to adopt three siblings aged five, four and three from Río Cuarto, Córdoba. The children are in good health, have up‑to‑date vaccinations and are described as affectionate, sociable and eager to learn. Interested applicants must submit an online form referencing call 10/263 on the RUA website. The initiative aims to place the siblings in a stable, loving home that can support their joint growth.
