Argentina's Agroindustry Supplies 59% of 2025 Exports, Driving Growth in Half the Provinces

In 2025 Argentina's agroindustrial sector generated US$51.37 billion in export sales, representing 59 % of the country's total export value. The sector led the external trade profile of 12 of the 24 provinces, where agro‑exports accounted for more than 70 % of total shipments, and ranked highest in 16 provinces overall.

Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Córdoba together accounted for 79.1 % of the nation's agro‑export volume, with Buenos Aires holding the top spot since 2023. Mendoza emerged as a standout performer, posting the strongest growth among provinces thanks to wine, fruit and vegetable production, while regions reliant on mining or energy such as Neuquén, Santa Cruz and Catamarca showed minimal agro‑export participation.
