Argentina's ANMAT bans illegal child cosmetics and a falsified morphine medication

The National Administration of Drugs, Foods and Medical Technology (ANMAT) in Argentina issued a nationwide prohibition on several child‑care cosmetic products after inspections revealed they were marketed without the required sanitary registration and were not imported through legal channels. The ban covers items such as a "Mascarilla facial MOUSE" by MILLION PAULINE, "Pack Toallas húmedas mini CAPYBARA" by MBMP, and various lip products by RIMOCOO, MEIKE GLAMOUR and DRAGON RANEE, all originating from the People’s Republic of China.

Separately, ANMAT also prohibited the use, sale and distribution of a falsified morphine oral solution (Oramorph 2 mg/ml) detected in a pharmacy in Esperanza, Santa Fe Province. The product showed packaging irregularities and was not part of any officially registered batch in Argentina, prompting a recall and a warning to health professionals and consumers about the health risks posed by the counterfeit medication.
