Argentina's ANSES adds retirement credits for mothers and sets school aid deadline

Argentina's social security agency ANSES announced that its Programme of Recognition of Contributions for Care Tasks will grant additional pension credits to mothers who received the Universal Child Allowance (AUH). The measure adds one year of contribution per biological child, two years per adopted child, an extra year for children with disabilities, and two extra years for each child of an AUH beneficiary who received the allowance for at least 12 months. The credits can help mothers reach the 30‑year contribution requirement for retirement.

ANSES also detailed the steps needed to claim the Annual School Aid of 85,000 Argentine pesos per child for the 2026 cycle. Eligible children must be enrolled in a registered public or official school, with special provisions for disabled children who may attend special or therapeutic institutions. Applicants must upload the required certificates through the Mi ANSES portal, after which payments are made within 60 days. The final deadline to submit the claim is 31 December 2026.
