ANSES rolls out July pension bonus and adjusts family benefits

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) announced a one‑off July bonus of up to 70,000 Argentine pesos for retirees and pensioners whose monthly income does not exceed the statutory minimum. The bonus will be paid together with the July salary, and beneficiaries receiving higher pensions will receive a proportional top‑up to reach the same total amount. ANSES also confirmed that the bonus applies to holders of the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) and non‑contributory pensions.

A court order requires ANSES to restore the widow’s pension for former president Cristina Kirchner within ten days, following a prior ruling that suspended the benefit. The order specifies that only the pension for the death of her late husband Néstor Kirchner must be reinstated, without retroactive payments or interest.

In parallel, ANSES will increase the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and the benefits of the Unified Family Allowances System (SUAF) by 2.15% in July, reflecting May’s inflation. New income thresholds for SUAF eligibility were set at 3,034,844 pesos per person and 6,069,688 pesos per household. The updated calendar outlines payment dates for each benefit based on the terminal digit of the beneficiary’s ID number.

These measures aim to preserve the purchasing power of pensioners and low‑income families amid ongoing inflation.
