Venezuela and Argentina roll out July 2026 pension payments

Venezuela’s Instituto Venezolano de los Seguros Sociales (IVSS) began disbursing the July 2026 “Ingreso Integral” to retirees on 21 July through the Sistema Patria platform. Pensioners received 96,292 bolívares (about $131.46 at the official rate), a 23.33 % rise in bolívares from June, while the dollar value changed only marginally. The payment is part of a monthly schedule that also covered active public‑sector workers and those receiving a “cestaticket” earlier in the month, and it aims to sustain basic income amid ongoing post‑earthquake recovery.

In Argentina, the Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social (ANSES) launched a unified July 2026 payment calendar. On 20 July, retirees and pensioners whose national‑ID numbers end in 7 received their minimum pensions, which were increased 2.15 % in line with June CPI, bringing the basic amount to $481,989.33. Subsequent batches for IDs ending in 8 and 9 followed on 21 and 22 July, with higher‑benefit recipients scheduled later. ANSES also confirmed that supermarket, pharmacy and other retailer discounts for pensioners remain active in July, offering roughly 10 % off purchases for card‑debit users. The agency announced a new online system allowing beneficiaries to book appointments at any office, further easing access to services.
