Argentina's ANSES announces August pension increase and payment schedule
The Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social (ANSES) confirmed a 1.9% adjustment to pensions and other benefits for August 2026, based on the June inflation index. The increase raises the minimum pension to roughly ARS 419,800, and a one‑time bonus of ARS 70,000 is granted to beneficiaries receiving the minimum amount. The same adjustment applies to non‑contributory pensions, the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and other social programs, with the bonus remaining unchanged from previous months.
ANSES also released the official payment calendar for August 2026, assigning specific payment dates to beneficiaries according to the last digit of their National Identity Document (DNI). For example, those with DNI ending in 0 receive payments on 10 August, while endings 8 and 9 are scheduled for 21 and 24 August respectively. The schedule covers pensions, AUH, the Universal Pregnancy Allowance (AUE), family allowances, and other benefits.
These measures aim to preserve the purchasing power of millions of retirees and social‑security recipients amid ongoing inflation.
