Argentina's AUGM launches seventh water conference series

The Academic Committee of Water of the Association of Universities Group Montevideo (AUGM), together with the Argentine Network for Training and Strengthening Integrated Water Resources Management (Arg Cap Net), announced the seventh cycle of virtual water‑resource conferences. The series, running from August to December 2026, will feature five monthly sessions covering topics such as water footprint, strategic management and supply, irrigation and agriculture, climate‑change impacts on river flows, new technologies for environmental science and water quality, and flood and dam management. Researchers, teachers, professionals and other water‑management stakeholders are invited to share experiences and strengthen regional cooperation.

The meetings will be held on the first Friday of each month at 15:00 via Zoom, with participation from specialists at universities, scientific bodies and related networks across the region.
