Argentina's August running events draw families to Villa Pehuenia and Pinamar

The municipality of Villa Pehuenia-Moquehue is preparing a series of August activities that combine winter scenery with cultural programming. On Sunday, 9 August, the Sunset Mahuida event will feature electronic music by the Della Sessions DJs on Cerro Batea Mahuida, alongside family games and a clown‑circus show for children. Free transport will be provided from nearby towns. The town will later host the 13th edition of the K21 mountain race on 5‑6 September, offering 10 km and 21 km distances.

In Pinamar, the third edition of the Desafío Pinamar race is scheduled for Sunday, 9 August 2026. The event offers 25 km, 15 km, 10 km, and a Kids category, with 98 % of the course run on sand dunes and forest trails. The start and finish will be at the Pinamar Norte shopping centre, and participants must sign a liability waiver and present a medical clearance. Organisers emphasize environmental care, asking runners to leave no waste and respect local flora and fauna.
