Argentina rolls out new bus routes and extensive consumer discount promotions

In August 2026 Argentine authorities and companies introduced a series of changes affecting public transport and consumer spending. In the Greater Buenos Aires area the historic line 181 was rerouted to use the Juan B. Justo Metrobus corridor, adding new stops at Lope de Vega, Carrasco and Segurola. The semi‑rapid line 164 received a strategic new stop at Plaza Constitución, improving connections with trains and the subway. In Comodoro Rivadavia the Sol Bus operator published a detailed map of its central‑city stops to guide passengers after a route overhaul.

Provincial officials in Formosa distributed toys to schools for Día de las Infancias, a yearly gesture announced by Governor Gildo Insfrán. Across the country several banks launched aggressive discount and cash‑back campaigns tied to the Día del Niño. Banco Provincia offered up to 30 % off in participating stores and up to 18 interest‑free installments on its Provincia Compras platform; Banco Formosa promoted 25 % discounts and up to ARS 30 000 rebates; Banco Nación announced up to 20 % off and 20‑month financing via Tienda BNA+. Additional promotions from Banco Macro, Banco Galicia, Santander and Naranja X provided transport fare rebates of up to 100 % and monthly cash‑back caps of ARS 16 000.

The Misiones government organized a Black Friday Posadas sales event with up to 20 % cash‑back and interest‑free installments. In Santiago, Chile, Disney On Ice announced its final shows with discounts of up to 30 % for ticket buyers.
