Argentina's Bar Association hosts virtual lecture on protection against arbitrary dismissal

A virtual lecture titled “Protection against arbitrary dismissal and the Labor Modernization Law” will be held on Tuesday, 18 August at 16:00 via Zoom. The event is organized by the Labor Law Commission of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and Prosecutors and will be presented by Dr. Sergio Arce, a labor lawyer and university professor at UBA and UNPAZ. The program will examine practical issues of the recent Labor Modernization Law, including the new dismissal indemnity formula, the establishment of a labor assistance fund, and tensions with constitutional guarantees.

The lecture is free for members who are up‑to‑date on their fees; non‑members or those with overdue fees must pay 10,000 Argentine pesos. Registration for members closes on Monday, 17 August at 22:00, and a payment link is provided for others. Participants can sign up through the provided online forms and contact the organizers via email or phone for assistance.
