Argentina's Catholic patronal festivals draw thousands of faithful

The province of Formosa marked the Day of Our Lady of Carmen on 16 July with a traditional procession, early‑morning rosary, children's Mass and a central Mass celebrated by Bishop José Vicente Conejero Gallego. Thousands of participants marched from neighborhoods across the capital to the cathedral, continuing a century‑old devotion that is also a provincial holiday.

In the Archdiocese of La Plata, Archbishop Gustavo Carrara presided over the patronal feast of Nuestra Señora de la Rosa Mística on 13 July. He led a Eucharistic celebration at the sanctuary, urged the faithful to become missionary disciples, and highlighted the Marian role in evangelisation. The event included a twelve‑day preparation of the Rosary and a special emphasis on spiritual renewal.
