Argentina's ChangoMás cuts prices on 200 items to 2025 levels

The ChangoMás supermarket chain announced a "Precios hoy, del 2025" program that restores the shelf‑price of more than 200 essential goods to the values recorded in 2025. The initiative, covering groceries, personal‑care items and small electronics, is intended to ease household budgets amid a period of high inflation.

Separately, Argentina's Institute of Statistics and Social‑Economic Trends reported that May’s inflation slowed to 2.4% month‑on‑month, the lowest rate of the year and marking a second consecutive month of deceleration. Despite the slowdown, the annual inflation rate remains around 33%, and more than half of households reported difficulty affording basic food items, with many relying on credit or state assistance.
