Argentina's Congress debates CAMYEN transparency bill and private advertising on public lighting

In the national legislature, deputy Nogui Acosta Jaén introduced a bill to allow private companies to place advertising on public street‑light poles and other infrastructure, reversing a 2025 ruling by the Comptroller that prohibited such ads. The proposal would amend existing construction and traffic laws to permit “integrated advertising on public infrastructure,” citing potential revenue and technological innovation, despite previous legal prohibitions.
