Argentina's Courts Use AI to Speed 650 Commercial Agreements

Artificial intelligence and digital tools have been deployed in Argentina's judiciary, enabling the resolution of a record 650 commercial agreements in a single week. Magistrate Miguel Mery Ayup, president of the Tribunal Superior de Justicia, said the technology streamlines case analysis and legal research without replacing human staff, and that digitalization of case files will continue through July 15, initially covering commercial and labor matters.

Three months after its launch, the Supreme Court's electronic auction platform has attracted 1,078 registered users, 705 of whom are active across 19 provinces and Buenos Aires. In that period, 301 auctions covering 186 cases were processed, with 84 concluded, resulting in 53 sales of properties and vehicles. The system guarantees bidder anonymity, nationwide access, and real‑time monitoring, aiming to make judicial asset sales faster, more transparent and less prone to manipulation.
