Argentina's Education Minister Mariela Nassif votes in La Banda municipal elections

Education, Science and Technology Minister Mariela Nassif cast her ballot at the Santiago del Estero school Colegio Santiago Apóstol in La Banda, stressing the importance of youth participation in the 2026 municipal elections. She noted that the city has over 100,000 registered voters, 36 schools serving as polling sites and 287 voting tables, and urged young people to engage in democracy.

Dr. Claudia Ledesma Abdala de Zamora also voted at the Mater Dei school in La Banda, praising voting as a tool to strengthen democracy and highlighting the role of first‑time young voters. She described the voting day as normal and respectful, and called for greater attention to the perspectives of younger generations.
