Argentina's federal court blocks INTI's request to fast‑track amparo over ATE layoffs
On July 27, the Sala I of the Federal Court of San Martín rejected the Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial’s (INTI) petition to open a winter judicial fair aimed at accelerating a labor amparo brought by the Asociación de Trabajadores del Estado (ATE). The amparo challenges Resolution 42/2026, which ordered the cessation of hundreds of technical services at the institute. Judges Juan Pablo Salas, Marcos Moran and Marcelo Darío Fernández affirmed the earlier decision of the court’s civil‑commercial judge, stating that INTI failed to demonstrate an imminent irreparable harm that would justify an emergency measure. The ruling underscores that a judicial fair may only be enabled when the requesting party proves a concrete, urgent damage, which the court found was lacking.
