Argentina's Federal Tourism Council Sets 2026-2027 Provincial Tourism Initiatives

The Federal Tourism Council (CFT) held its 177th assembly in Buenos Aires in August 2026, gathering tourism ministers from every Argentine province. San Luis minister Juan Álvarez Pinto presented the "Tourism Olympics 2026," a school‑based program that teaches students about the province’s natural, cultural and historic heritage. Council president Dante Querciali and national tourism secretary Daniel Scioli praised the initiative as an innovative link between education and tourism.

During the same meeting, the council announced that Jujuy will host the first assembly of the 2027 calendar. Tourism minister Federico Posadas highlighted Jujuy’s rapid growth in visitor numbers, new air routes and hotel investment, positioning the province as a showcase for the nation’s tourism transformation. The decision was confirmed by Scioli and Querciali, and the event will be part of the upcoming Meet Up Argentina series.
