Argentina's Jorge Taiana urges firm Falklands sovereignty in Rioja legislature debate
Former foreign minister and current national deputy Jorge Taiana delivered a speech at the provincial legislature of Rioja, Argentina, highlighting the strategic importance of the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) and calling for a firm defense of Argentine sovereignty. The event, organized with the Economic and Social Council, was chaired by vice‑governor Teresita Madera and attended by legislators, judges, ministers, municipal officials, university representatives, social leaders and veterans of the Malvinas conflict.
Taiana warned against recent "desmalvinización" efforts by the national government and stressed the islands' economic and geopolitical potential.
