Argentina's Knowledge Economy exports exceed $10 billion

Argentina's Knowledge Economy (EdC) has reached a historic milestone, with exports exceeding $10 billion for the first time in 2025. According to data from Argencon, the sector has become the country's third-largest export complex, following agriculture and energy, showing an annual growth of 11.7 percent.

Despite this growth, experts note challenges including a negative trade balance for the segment. Economists are now discussing a transition toward a ‘Code Economy,’ a more sophisticated phase characterized by increased participation from universities, science, and technology, particularly in fields like artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
