Argentina's Labor Ministry Orders Mandatory Conciliation in Tenaris and Union Bat Disputes

The Buenos Aires provincial labor ministry, led by Minister Walter Correa, issued a 15‑day mandatory conciliation order for the conflict at Tenaris SIAT's plant in Valentín Alsina, reversing the dismissal of 150 workers and calling for inspections and negotiations.

In Entre Ríos, the provincial labor secretariat also imposed a 15‑day mandatory conciliation on Union Bat after the company dismissed about 100 employees. The firm blocked workers from re‑entering the Gualeguaychú plant, prompting the chemicals and petrochemicals union to file a formal complaint and a hearing scheduled for Thursday in Paraná.
