Argentina's Las Panteras lose semifinal to Brazil in Copa Sudamericana

In the Copa Sudamericana women's volleyball semifinals held in Lima, Peru, Argentina's national team Las Panteras were beaten by Brazil 3‑1. The sets ended 17‑25, 25‑20, 22‑25, 26‑28 and a decisive tie‑breaker 28‑26, with Brazil's Sabrina and Aline driving the win. Argentina’s top scorer was libero Victoria Caballero, while captain Bianca Cugno added 33 points.

Earlier in the tournament, Las Panteras had also fallen to Colombia 3‑1 (11‑25, 25‑27, 25‑21, 28‑26), with Cugno again leading the scoring with 19 points. The loss to Brazil relegates Argentina to the bronze‑medal match, where they will face Chile.
