Argentina's Medifé Filba longlist unveiled; Bogotá receives Aena book donation

The seventh edition of Argentina's Medifé Filba literary prize announced a longlist of ten novels selected from 280 submissions by 160 publishing houses across 11 provinces, marking a 60% increase over the previous year. The jury, composed of Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, Leila Guerriero and Alan Pauls, will narrow the list to five titles in October and name the winner in November, who will receive a prize of 6 million pesos.

Bogotá’s public library network (BibloRed) received 300 copies of the five finalist works of the Aena Hispanic‑American Narrative Prize, making the Colombian capital the first city to incorporate this collection into its public reading system ahead of the 14th Gabo Festival. The donation, organized by Fundación Gabo and Spain’s state airline Aena, is intended to be replicated in other Ibero‑American countries and will enrich the catalog used by roughly five million library users nationwide.
